how to find your house in minecraft

I'm Lost In Minecraft ;(

I'd traveled quite far from my home and have slept in a different bed from the one in my house since I had started my expedition, I then unfortunately drowned while journeying and respawned in the middle of nowhere. Help?...

Your best bet is copying the world and making the new save creative with coordinates on. You turn them on in the world options (click pencil next to world). Find your house in creative which should be pretty easy if it's not far from spawn. Remember/write down the coordinates of it and load up your actual world with coordinates on and travel back to your humble abode and pet chicken!

Do you use coordinates? If so, that may help you travel in the correct direction. Or, if your initial house is close to the world spawn, just build a compass and follow it to the world spawn

I'm on Xbox One so Idk how to turn on coordinates but I'll try the compass thing. Thank you!

You have to turn on coordinates and write down where the house is on a piece of paper (Don't know about the PC/XBOX/PS4 version, but there is an option in the Pocket Edition to turn on coordinates).

your only luck is to have coordinates, or you can cheat in creative and fly around and look in a copy of the world with coordinates, and write it down and then go back to the normal world
